UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA, Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance

The Department of Economics and Finance in the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration at the University of North Dakota invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure-track finance faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor starting fall semester, 2022.

Position Benefits

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate should expect to teach a 4-4 course load
  • The successful candidate should expect to teach undergraduate courses on Principles of Financial Management, Intermediate Financial Management, and Financial Statement Analysis using traditional and online delivery methods; make positive contributions to the department, college, and university assignments

  • The Department seeks candidates with an instructional emphasis in corporate finance, investments, and/or financial institutions
  • The faculty is expected to contribute to service/outreach and work closely with undergraduate students

  • There is no research expectation associated with this position.

Required Competencies

  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills

Minimum Requirements

  • ABD or higher in Finance or related field from an accredited institution

  • Have teaching experience and effectiveness (on campus and online)
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identify and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • D. in Finance

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience teaching corporate finance, investments, or financial institutions

Minimum Hiring Salary

$90,000 annually

Contract Period/Start Date

This position will be effective for one year, August 16, 2022 to May 15, 2023.
